Be sure to read this message! - Email Scam. An email message that comes with the subject "Be sure to read this message!" has been detected in active spam campaigns.
After a series of quite similar emails scam messages among which is the much talked about "Hi perv", "Be sure to read this message!" is yet the next one that attempts to steal your money.
This deceitful message claims that anonymous cybercriminals have managed to hack your device which enabled them to set it recording your actions while watching adult content. By stating this, threat actors have the intention to blackmail you into paying them a ransom for the deletion of shameful records.
Except email service providers, the scam may also affect various social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

In many cases, the email appears to be sent from a user's email address. This is known as "email spoofing" i.e. the practice of creating email messages with a fake sender's address.
If you've received an email message like this, you should take the following steps to keep yourself safe:
- DO NOT click on any links in the email;
- DO NOT reply to the message;
- DO NOT pay the requested ransom;
- Mark the email as junk (SPAM mail);
- Change your account passwords;
- Scan your computer for malware;
